Tactic 2: The Sacred Mask
They hide behind the holy mask with the use of false spirituality in judging the strength of your power.
After the battle of logic and the battle of strength, the narcissist will always resort to the battle of morality. The narcissist will no longer be able to argue facts, so they will argue morals.
A wounded narcissist will experience an overnight spiritual awakening performance. They will assume the ‘holy’ persona to harness the power of the Bible, meditation, or vibes to deem your power ‘demonic’ or ‘low vibration.’ They will occupy the moral high ground to judge you.
As they are scheming ways to destroy you, you will hear them speak in hushed and insightful tones about how they are praying for you or how they’ve forgiven your toxicity. This is typically the script flip. In playing the saint, your boundaries are made to seem cruel, and your truth seems persecutorial.
They have this mask, which they use to lure a whole new generation of spiritual flying monkeys, who do not know the monster behind prayer beads. They hate you because your sense of discernment goes right through the incense and holy talk. They hate you because you know the truth, and the truth is, their spirituality is a mere secondary mask of shame used to conceal “the old ugly predator.”
They hide behind God, the universe, or anything at all as a shield against the accountability that your presence requires. To them, being holy is just another way of being superior when they haven’t been able to dominate you in the physical sense.
