The bathroom becomes your haven when you are with a narcissist. It’s the only room where you can close the door, sit with your thoughts, and finally breathe without performing for anyone. For someone living in a narcissistic environment, it’s often the last remaining pocket of solitude, a tiny corner of the war zone where the nervous system can begin to reset a little.
