Number 6: Narcissists Feel Pain When You Reveal Them
Narcissists are pained when you reveal them. They must have an ideal persona, and they will be upset if you reveal their vulnerabilities. They feel superior, so whenever you reveal their weaknesses, it will make them feel like they are no longer exceptional.
Narcissists are control addicts, and so they must control everything, including their emotions. They do not want to feel vulnerable or open because they do not have control over something, and this leaves them vulnerable. Narcissists do not like individuals tugging one up on them or outmaneuvering them by doing the same to them.
Number 7: Narcissists Are Hurt When You Reject Them.
Narcissists get hurt if you reject them. A narcissist’s feelings are easily wounded by rejection. They’re extremely sensitive people, and they cannot stand the thought that a person may not like them. Narcissists do get hurt even if rejected by their parents or spouse; they’re also going to get hurt when abandoned by someone, even an old friend.
Narcissists are rejection sensitive because they have sensitive egos and self-esteem. They dislike being corrected or told “no” because they feel it is a threat to their sense over others, and thus they feel special and important.
