Narcissists will initiate their relationship with you as a whirlwind affair. You feel that you are soulmates and are hitting a level of intimacy you never knew existed. They will be like the friend who adores the ground you walk on. It is hard to read the flighty disposition of a narcissist if you are seeing one.
You’re with them for a minute, and then they discard you for nothing. It will sound good the first few weeks or months, but months into being in a relationship with them, the mask of the narcissist starts to wear off, and the real them is what you’re left with.
When will a narcissist leave you?
Number 1: When you bring them to themselves
It’s not always easy bringing a narcissist to themselves. It hurts and saddens, particularly if you care about them. However, you may find yourself in a situation where you have no choice but to do this work. One should expect a reaction from a narcissist when one reveals them. You are also aware, narcissists do not take rejection of any sort.
