They’d like the rest of us to believe they’re perfect and grand, so they’ll do anything to make it so, even write about their success on Facebook or Instagram. These individuals are attempting to impress you; they’re attempting to improve their self-esteem.

Narcissists enjoy boasting about themselves on social media because it is a way of enhancing their egos. They want all people to see them in their best possible light, so they’ll share pictures of themselves and show their great achievements. Narcissists think that they’re the best and smartest individuals in the world, and when they receive a positive reaction from others, it affirms in their minds that they’re doing the right thing.
A narcissist will also post things that will draw a lot of attention to themselves, such as selfies or photos of them doing something adventurous, like traveling. Narcissists also enjoy social media because it provides them with an avenue where they can flaunt their riches and status, yet another aspect that feeds their egos.
Number 10. It Is a Way to Make Other People Jealous of Their Lives
Narcissists like to brag on Facebook and other places, and it is no wonder that they like making others envious of their lives. Narcissists need others to believe that they are successful and happy, and they will therefore exaggerate how wonderful everything is. Narcissists need to brag about making more money, having superior jobs, and getting more friends than others individuals.
They want others to envy and hate themselves. Narcissists need others to perceive their success as a model that others will follow. They will upload images of taking risks that others would be too afraid or embarrassed to take to prove how brave they are and superior to everyone else. Boasting is what social media is all about.
Social media is just the ultimate platform for narcissists to display to the world how wonderful they are without having to do a thing. It’s an open website where you can just post whatever and be seen, and narcissists are the kings and queens of being seen.
